How long until I can see my wedding website on the Internet?

Your wedding website will be online and accessible immediately after you register for your free trial.

Will my visitors see advertising on my Website?

No – the site your visitors see will not have advertising. But in order for us to offer you this free service we need to have some advertising on your website in the Control Panel area. Only you will see the ads.

How will my guests and friends find my wedding website?

Once you have started your free trial you will receive an email from us that will contain all the information you need to access your wedding website. The best way to inform your guests is to have your website address printed on your wedding stationary, or on a separate card which you can insert into the envelope with the invitations. Send an email to all your friends and family.

I want to password protect my "For the Bridesmaids" and "For the Groomsmen" pages separately so only my bridal party has access to them. Can I do this?

Yes, you can choose to have any page password protected. There are special secrets you need to keep, and this will help you do it.

Is there a limit to the number of photos and albums I can upload?

No there's no limit. But remember to keep your visitors interested by not uploading multiple photos of the same thing. Browsing through 50 photos of the same thing may not keep their attention. Our advice is to take your time in selecting the right photos for each of your albums. You want your visitors to enjoy your albums, not to race through them.

Can I replace any of my photos when I want?

Yes you can change them as often as you want. Simply use the same steps you took to upload them in the first place.

What size or specification is needed for photos that are uploaded?

Photos must be either .jpg or .gif files and there is a maximum size of 4 mg. The larger the size photo the longer it will take you to upload. The best results come from photos that are under 1 mg in size.

How do I manage all the photos I've uploaded?

You will create photo albums for different occasions such as your engagement party, your recent holiday, anything that is special to you. And then of course after your wedding you can upload your wedding day photos for everyone to enjoy.

Sometimes an old photo still appears after I've uploaded a new one that replaces it.

If that happens, it will be a cache issue. Cache is simply your web browser's memory and sometimes it remembers your old photo even when you have uploaded a new one. Use your Refresh key or button to refresh the page and get rid of the old image for you.

Can I make changes to my Wedding Website whenever I want?

Yes – when you want and as often as you want. It's your site to make as you want.

Will I need to have a hosting company host my wedding website?

No. There is no need to worry about hosting or any other technical details regarding your wedding website. are2wed.com does it all for you so you can focus on making the site uniquely yours and planning your big day!

Can I name the pages of my wedding website anything I like?

Yes. It's up to you what you want to name them (within a reasonable number of characters), or what order they appear in your wedding site. We have a ‘drag & drop' feature for you to make it easy to move the pages into a different order.

Do I need to know HTML or have technical skills?

No. Engaged couples have more to do than learn HTML (if they don't want to). are2wed.com provides you with everything you need to create, modify and customise your website. For your content entry we provide you with a powerful but simple to use content editor that allows you to style your text without the need for HTML knowledge. However for those couples who want to use HTML code they can. We give you the flexibility to decide for yourself.

What will our domain name look like?

Your website address is called a sub-domain name and will look like this:

There are a lot of different ways you can choose to have your address name but it's important to remember that when you have chosen it, it cannot be changed. Here are a few tips and internet rules to help you decide how you want it to look.

Are there any hidden fees? Is it really free?

We promise there are no hidden costs and yes your website and the planning tools are free. We also promise we’ll never charge you in the future. We do have an optional upgrade which gives you a few extra features but if you are happy with the free website you can stick with that.

When will my website expire?

Your site will expire 12 months after your last login. So if you log on at least once a year your site will last for however long you want it to.
